Lucid Dreaming – How to Have a Lucid Dream

Imagine the ability to be able to not only recognize that you are in a dream, but to actually control it. Everyone has been in a situation where they woke up and weren’t sure if what just happened to them was a dream or reality. If you can learn how to have a  lucid   dream , you will not only be able to distinguish the difference, but there is a strong possibility that you can take that dream where ever you want.
The first step in having this in dreams is to develop your dream recall. Your dream recall is the ability to remember even the most minute detail of a dream experience. You can do this by keeping a journal and writing down everything you experienced the moment you wake up. Don’t move, don’t get out of bed, just write down every detail. You will find over time that your memories will be more and more complete as you are actually training yourself to pay attention inside of your dreams.
Many people use the technique known as MILD. MILD or mnemonic induction of  lucid   dreams  is the process of adjusting your mindset when you are actually falling asleep. It has its highest success if you’re able to fall into asleep for about five or six hours and then wake up. You will then keep yourself awake for approximately an hour and then as you are drifting back to sleep you will tell yourself that when you are experiencing a dream you will know that you are experiencing a dream. This will trigger a reaction in your brain that will actually let you know that a dream is taking place in you are aware that it is only a dream.
While this is only one of many  lucid   dream   techniques , it is probably the most widely known. As  lucid   dreaming becomes more popular, more and more  techniques  are becoming available and you can even find drinks and herbs that are aimed at helping you with your ability to  lucid   dream . It is only a matter of time before you’re walking around like Neo in the Matrix.
